As PitchBook’s Senior Manager, Communications, I owned the company’s internal content strategy across every channel employees engaged with, including building our intranet from the ground up and developing newsletters and livestreams.
Reaching PitchBook’s employees meant reaching a global, fast-growing workforce with distinct audiences, from our client-facing Sales, Customer Service, and Financial Analysts to our internal Creative and Product teams. My strategy was to match each audience with the right content format, channel, and cadence, so the right message reached the right people at the right moment.
I started by finding the gaps: auditing content, researching employee needs like the first employee survey, and interviewing stakeholders to rebuild the intranet around how people actually worked, lifting adoption to 77%.
From there, I built the connective tissue, including developing employee-storytelling programs like Road to Research & Insights livestream. I also developed content strategy templates and guidelines, such as the Weekly Analyst Calls, to help other teams create and maintain their own content and streamline internal communications teams’ time and effort. The goal was to make company strategy feel personal, and it worked: employee engagement rose by 28% across our internal channels.
Executive Communications
I led content strategy for the company’s biggest moments, including global All Hands and executive livestreams. I served as a communications partner to senior leadership, including the CEO and COO, and translated business and cultural priorities into clear, compelling messaging, driving 2021 All Hands attendance to 85% of global employees.
I owned these programs end-to-end: writing the event narrative and run-of-show for our C-suite, managing work-back schedules, and coordinating deliverables across marketing, creative, and external partners. I executed the 2021 All Hands at the new Climate Pledge Arena, managing a $300K+ budget, showcasing PitchBook’s brand, and unveiling our 2022 company-wide goals to a global workforce.
Executive Livestreams
I produced two or more monthly livestreams for C-suite and department executives, including developing executive speeches and presentations, leading project management and turning business goals into strategic narratives.
Road to Research & Insights
The narrative engine for a company-wide repositioning. To shift how employees saw PitchBook—from a reference tool to a research firm—I built a repeatable livestream framework that tied every episode back to company strategy and recognized the teams driving that shift. As needs evolved, I adapted it from a livestream into a newsletter timed a week ahead of each Coffee Chat, so the story built across channels. Average viewership: 75%.
